Roast Chicken Wings with Honey and Hoisin sauce

Here's the interesting FACTS: DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GRILL AND ROAST.

ROAST synonyms bake
according to dictionary : to cook with dry heat, as in an oven, to expose to great or excessive heat.
according to forums : cooking something in an oven without covering, cook a food in an open pan without no added liquid, indirect or diffused heat.

GRILL synonyms broil, barbeque grill, charbroiling, stone grill, toast
according to dictionary : a cooking surface of parrallel metal bar
according to forums : cooking that involves dry heat applied to the surface of the food, commonly from above or below,

However, the method of cooking maybe slightly different according to country.

Now, let's cooking........


Ingredients:
• 8 chicken wings about 1kg
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 4 tbsp hoisin sauce
• 5 tbsp honey
• 2 tbsp shaoxing wine / chinese cooking wine
• 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
• 1 tsp ginger, finely chopped and peeled

Method:


1.In a large bowl combine chicken wings, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, garlic and ginger. Mix well, cover and sit in refrigerator for at least an hour. Maximum 3 hours.

2.Preheat oven at 190 degree celcius for fan-forced oven or normal oven will be 210 degree celcius for about 5 minutes.

3.Place chicken wings on baking tray, layer with foil and roast in the oven for 15 minutes until wings are cooked through and have a glazed look. Do not place to close to heat.
